How Did I Get Here?

How did I get here?  Haven’t we all asked this question at some point in our lives? It almost feels like we wake up one day, get out of bed and think Wow, this isn’t what I expected. I can’t believe I’m here. Doesn’t that feel negative? 

Today is going to be the start of something new. Instead of seeing How did I get here as negative, ask yourself in a way that is more reflective. Wise Thinking Leads to Right Living. 

I have some good news: what happened yesterday is gone and today is a new start. Over the next three weeks I am going to help you start thinking differently, develop good habits, and live with healthy patterns. BUT this will only work if we work together. So, today we will discuss the wrong mindset.

The Wrong Mindset

I believe the battle always begins in the mind. When we wake we begin to think immediately of all the items we have to do including work. For some, this may develop anxiety, stress, and possibly even worse. Through out the day we have INTENTIONS to get this or that done but we end up saying: I don’t feel like- fill in the blank. 

Here is the Truth: Our attitude determines our behavior and our behavior determines our direction. Win the battle in the mind and you can win the day. A series of small steps over time compound into big results. Don’t discount small steps. 

You may be asking how? I’m glad you asked! These aren’t the way, they are a way. 

  • Start the day with declarations: I am a leader. It’s not what I do, It’s who I am. Begin the habit of Habitual Thinking. Wise thinking leads to right living

  • Be Thankful: believe it or not gratitude actually has an affect on your brain chemically. Write down 1 thing you are thankful for everyday. You will begin to train your mind .
